        Privacy Commitment: All call recordings and audio data created by Cube ACR are stored strictly on your local device. We do not sell, rent, monetize, or transmit your audio recordings to our servers or any third-party advertisers.
      

1. Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy outlines how Cube ACR and Cube ACR Helper ("we", "us", or "our") handle audio data, permissions, and device information on Android devices.

2. Audio Recordings & Local Storage

On-Device Storage: All call recordings captured by the app are stored strictly in private or user-designated application storage on your device.
No Cloud Transfer by Default: The app does not upload audio recordings to our servers. Any cloud backup (such as Google Drive or Dropbox) is executed directly through the respective cloud service APIs configured and authorized by you.
User Control: You have complete authority to play, delete, export, or encrypt your audio recordings at any time. When you uninstall the application, locally stored private audio is cleaned up by the Android operating system.

3. Device Permissions & Why We Need Them

To perform call recording functions reliably, the applications request the following system permissions:

RECORD_AUDIO: Used solely to capture conversation audio via the microphone or audio stream while a call is active.
READ_PHONE_STATE: Detects incoming and outgoing telephone calls to automatically trigger recording start and stop actions.
READ_CONTACTS: Associates incoming and outgoing phone numbers with contact names in your address book so you can identify recordings. Contact data is never transmitted externally.
BIND_ACCESSIBILITY_SERVICE (Companion Helper): Used by the Cube ACR App Connector to detect active VoIP call activities (e.g. WhatsApp, Slack, Telegram) and ensure clear dual-sided audio capture under Android OS restrictions.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS: Required on Android 13+ to display foreground service notifications while a recording is in progress.

4. Accessibility API Disclosure

In strict compliance with Android policy, the Cube ACR Helper accessibility service:

Is used only to determine when a supported communication application (such as WhatsApp) launches an audio call.
Does not read, log, or store your typed text, passwords, messages, or keystrokes.
Does not modify device settings or interfere with other applications without user awareness.

5. Legal Compliance & Consent

Call recording laws vary significantly by country and jurisdiction. Many jurisdictions require the consent of one or all participants before recording a call. You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable local, state, and international call recording regulations.
